Part 1: Unlocking Financial Literacy: The Financial Budget Presentation

This event goes beyond basic math, delving into the core of financial decision-making. We'll unpack the intricacies of creating a realistic post-graduation budget, emphasizing how personal values and goals drive financial choices. This workshop will provide practical exercises and examples, enabling students to confidently navigate the challenges of financial planning and presentation. We'll delve into effective presentation techniques and strategies for conveying complex financial information clearly and persuasively.

Part 2: Digital Storytelling: The JAG National Promo Video

In today's digital age, effective communication is paramount. The JAG National Promo Video event empowers students to leverage technology and creativity to produce impactful promotional content. This workshop will provide guidance on selecting free video production tools and filming techniques, emphasizing the importance of clear communication, teamwork, and creative storytelling. We'll also address the ethical considerations of digital media and the importance of responsible content creation.

In this session, INvestEd will discuss ways to plan and pay for postsecondary education by sharing information about free tools and resources to assist with each step of the process. We'll show students tools to help with finding the right major/career, selecting the right college, maximizing FREE money like scholarships & grants, understanding college costs with net price calculators, and the impacts of social media on college admission & scholarship decisions.

This is a motivational session designed to inspire students to embrace how the attributes associated with successful entrepreneurialism can lead to success in every facet of their lives.

Not all service is created equal! This interactive workshop will help JAG students move beyond basic service projects and embrace service-learning, a powerful approach that builds leadership, critical thinking, and career-ready skills. Learn how to design projects that create real impact, collaborate with community partners, and stand out to future employers. Through hands-on activities and real-world examples, you’ll discover how service-learning makes you a stronger job candidate while making a difference in your community!

As a JAG student, you are part of a national network of individuals eager to support you in your career success, but how do you tap into this network and expand it beyond JAG? JAG has likely taught you that networking is the process of building relationships with individuals and businesses for professional purposes. This workshop will guide JAG youth in taking their networking skills beyond the JAG program as they continue the next steps in their career paths. Workshop participants will leave the session with an understanding that networks are as strong as the people in them. By focusing on a diverse group that has a variety of experiences, ages, education levels, and more, youth will be able to connect with people that can help them foster a personal network aligned with their career success.

What Would I Do? is a Healthy Relationships/ Human trafficking prevention curriculum designed to promote critical thinking about healthy relationships, develop a proactive response to harmful cultural messages, and identify action steps for responding to unsafe situations. Three age-specific modules have been created with relevant, real-life scenarios for students to engage with, aligning with many Academic Standards Effective prevention begins with the opportunity for open, honest conversation and connection to everyday life. What Would I Do? provides youth the space for addressing harmful stereotypes, barriers to seeking help, and strategies for staying safe.
