Listen with your eyes. Networking is a common business experience, and while these events present a fantastic opportunity to make new connections, they can be overwhelming. Who do you talk to? What do you talk about? How do you move on from an awkward conversation? How do you know when someone is done talking to you? You shouldn’t have to figure these things out on your own.

In this session we’ll explore the nonverbal side of networking. We’ll teach you how to the read subtle nonverbal cues which will give you an advantage in these challenging social situations.

Listening with Your Eyes is the art of using your body, and reading others, to improve your networking experiences.

This workshop will guide JAG youth in taking their networking skills beyond the JAG program as they continue the next steps in their career paths. Workshop participants will leave the session with an understanding that networks are as strong as the people in them. By focusing on a diverse group that has a variety of experiences, ages, education levels, and more, youth will be able to connect with people that can help them foster a personal network aligned with their career success.
